PV-solar panel, batteries, CFL bulbs all contain mercury, rare earth and other toxic chemicals. We import these items from overseas in large quantities without a plan to dispose of them properly. I put a motion that we either ship back the dead batteries and bulbs to the countries of manufacture, and add the cost of proper disposal to the so-called cost-competitive imports.
