The teen center would be a place for our teens to hang together. Much of our tax dollars go to social services for folks needing help. How about putting some of the social service funds into creating great space for just our regular kids looking for some place to be together that is safe and inspirational! I think we need to reach out to our teen population to inspire them with a teen center with art, games, activities, music, tea. It would have to be staffed by a host of mentors in our community. Could work with the churches, business community, and the University on this. Many of our citizens would back this up and would even help fund it!! This could be such an incredible benefit to our community!
