Eastern Market in Washington DC is their large Farmer's Market, put on every Sunday. A clever idea the vendors and organizers do is utilize parking lots of commercial buildings that are shut on Sundays. This way the farmer's market is spread out more, and is using otherwise unused land. If we used the idea concept in Boulder, we could expand the farmers market into the three parking lots located behind the Duschanbe tea house and BMoCA. I think this would improve circulation throughout the market and have a sustainable message about reusing public spaces.
